Rainscreen Principle

Facade

In the course of time, materials made of aluminum, glass and plastic profiles have been accepted in the construction industry. Increasing facade performance requirements such as architectural design, thermal and acoustic insulation, long-term durability & safety, hygrometric and static features can be best met by application of rear-ventilated systems.

Therefore, rear-ventilation facades are becoming increasingly important. For two reasons, first, they can conform to the highest standards. And, second, are getting more and more recognition for the unlimited possibilities of form and color.

Rear-ventilated facade is a perfect answer to the demanding project and performance requirements. By permitting an unlimited design perspective, application of great aesthetic value and it is unbeatable in terms of thermal and acoustic insulation.

Although initially it is more expensive than traditional types of wall construction, take into consideration when the whole building life cycle cost is taken into account. Rear-ventilated facades offer an extremely cost-effective solution due to its low-maintenance requirements and the sustainability of the materials used.

The ventilated curtain facade is set to 2 / 3 when renovating. Reasons lie in the technical wear (inadequate insulation, inadequate fire protection) shield against radar radiation but also in the aesthetic transformation of the facade.

Range of Application: Suitable for all building heights and – utilization's

What is rear ventilated facade?

The rear ventilated facades consists of:

  1. Aluminum substruction system U-kon (wall brackets-clips, thermal isolators, vertical/horizontal profiles)

  2. Insulation layer (glass wool, rock wool etc.)

  3. Cladding material ( Alucobond®, aluminum, panel made out copper/steel/ zinc, fiber cement, stoneware, granit, wood, hpl, ceramics, natural stone, slate, clay brick etc.)

  4. Air gap

Advantages

U-kon as a support installation system for back-ventilated facades contributes to their essential advantages in comparison with other facade types (in comparison to conventional facades):

  • higher durability

  • Perfect exterior look (modern architecture and corporate design)

  • No restrictions in design (form, shape and colors)

  • Simple and easy fabrication and installation

  • low maintenance costs

  • Perfect thermal insulation

  • Perfect weather resistant functions

  • Increased fire safety, provided by the application of non-flammable and fire-resistant materials

  • Increased sound and vibration insulation

  • Various cladding materials application

  • Decreased fundament loading due to the reduced wall thickness

  • Minimum requirements to wall surface (unevenness)

  • a universal, coordinated system, which ensures a very high quality

  • technically tested and has been proven on the market

  • is the result of diverse experiences in the processing of ventilated facades

  • is a certified system of aluminum profiles (DIN, ISO)

  • a complete solution, all components in stock for your convenience.

  • we offer special tools required for quick and easy assembly

  • technical assistance and information

  • Technical Training Offerings

  • Low maintenance and repair costs (easily removed panels)

  • Considerable cost reduction effect (by all above mentioned issues)

  • provides the ability to compensate for uneven walls

up to date technology - that's the advantage of U-kon

With all these advantages that rear ventilated facades combine, the costs are not only related to the purchase price, they rather refer to its lifetime. And therefore rear ventilated facades compare well with all equivalent products.
